The wood floor polishing process at WoodMaster Belfast:

• Step 1 – Site survey with a written estimate, without charge. This will determine what requirements your wooden floor has and how we will work on it. Once we have agreed on the price we will schedule a suitable time and date for staff to carry out the job.
• Step 2 – Old sealers will be completely stripped right up to the skirting boards. We will then treat the floor with a 3 head finishing machine to get rid of any fine scratches from the sanding process. This makes the floor super smooth and ready for the sealer.
• Step 3 – Finishes and stain options are demonstrated on the floor so you can get a good idea of what the wooden floor will look like. We can use a natural lacquer or we can apply a stain that will change the colour and the appearance of the floor more dramatically.
• Step 4 – Adding a base coat to fill up the wood and provide the first stage of protection. 
• Step 5 – Sand the surface to smooth any areas that prickle up from the base coat.
• Step 6 – Two coats of top finish, either a 1 or 2 pack lacquer, depending on the floor. If the floor has had a colour change or if the smoothness needs more work, we can apply additional oils.
• Step 7 – When the floor is dry, the restoration is finished. We will hand it over and after a few hours, the furniture can be brought back.
